Making Tracks with Thomas "Talawa" Presto

Thomas “Talawa” Prestø, the Artistic Director of Tabanka African & Caribbean Peoples Dance Ensemble in Norway will be back in London this November to teach another Making Tracks Master Class on behalf of IRIE! dance theatre. The Master Class will take place from 2:00-5:00pm on Saturday 26 November 2011 at Moonshot Centre.

This Master Class is part of IRIE! dance theatre’s professional development program in African and Caribbean Dance for undergraduates, mid-career and professional practitioners.

Judith Palmer, IRIE!’s Development Manager and the co-ordinator of IRIE!’s Making Tracks program admits that this second Master Class with Thomas Prestø was not originally planned but when Thomas said he would be travelling to London in November both he and IRIE! dance theatre were keen to take advantage of this opportunity.

This is a special opportunity to experience first-hand Thomas’ Talawa dance technique which is currently taught on five (5) continents across the world.

If you book in advance, the admission for this Master Class is just £15.00 or £10.00 for concessions (i.e. students and unemployed). Participant wanting to pay on the day of the workshop can expect to pay more. Click the link below for more information and to book for this special Master Class:
